In this section of my BTEC Level 3 Diploma, there are four main aims that if reached a distinction level will be attained.
1. To understand how media producers define audiences for their products.
This includes defining audiences using a wide variety of research techniques including using quantitive and qualititive research, using audience profiling, psychographics and geodemographics and more.
2. To understand how media producers create products for specific audiences
This includes how media producers address audiences using their selection of content, the way they construct their content, codes and conventions and modes of address.
3. To understand how media audiences respond to media products
This includes the use of audience theories, effects debates and responses.
4. To be able to develop responses to media products
This includes critical approaches to media products, responses to genre, narrative structures and representation
